A short story about Late Abdul Aziz
Born in Zanzibar in area called Changwani to Ismail family to parents known as Khadija and known as Halai memons, Having 8 brothers , 2 sisters Abdul Hamid, Hanif, Qayum, Ramju, Abdul Waheed, Yunus, Amin, Kamal, Zubeida and Jameela. The Esmail family were well known.
During 1960’s all left Zanzibar for Uk London , except 2 sisters and brother Abdul waheed stayed in dares salaam during the 1964 Zanzibar revolution .
Abdul Aziz left at 14 and went to Stepney Green school in east London, followed by an interest in joining the British army where he stayed for 2 years that made him the disciplined man he was.
He was very close to his brothers and sisters and was very political and also very funny and at times very strong in his arguments. His heart was like gold And he always tried to help people and make people laugh.
He got on very well with my cousins and including my friends as he also looked young and young at heart.
My Father passed away after being diagnosed with Acid Reflex 1 day later with an heart attack. Alhumdulillah he passed away on a blessed Friday May 29th 2020 // On 5th Shawwal 1441. He is greatly missed as always in our thoughts.
I hope this information gives you some insight into my late father. Please pray for him and all those brothers and sisters in this Kabristan . Jazakallah for spending the time reading this.
